the jury has found dr. conrad murray guilty of involuntary manslaughter, concluding a long and emotional six week trial filled with disturbing and intimate details in the life of the pop star.

Italian court finds amanda knox not guilty of murder



After a tearful plea to the Italian appeals court and 11 hours of jury deliberation, Knox has been acquitted of the 2007 murder of her British flatmate, Meredith Kircher.

Her four year nightmare may finally be coming to an end. Knox pleaded her innocence to the Italian appeals court just now. 

"She had her bedroom next to mine, she was killed in our own apartment. If I had been there that night, I would be dead," Knox said. "But I was not there...I did not kill. I did not rape. I did not steal. I wasn't there. I wasn't there at the crime," Knox said.

The court is currently deliberating her appeal and a verdict is expected to be rendered by the end of today.

Will his children be called to testify?

The prosecution or defense could call the children to retell the story of the last days of Jackson, but whoever opens the door should do it only if they think they will gain something particularly probative, something they could not obtain without calling the children. Children are often unpredictable as witnesses and also gain the sympathy of the jury right off the bat.
