according to the nytimes, a study funded by proctor & gamble (parent of covergirl and dolce & gabana makeup) found that women who wear makeup gain more respect, trust, and affection from co-workers.
interesting. personally, i wear makeup almost everyday because i feel like i look better with it and appear happier and more personable to others. i don't paint my face with inches of goop but i certainly whip out the mascara and blush to "wake up" my face. for interviews, i try to cover up imperfections and give myself a nice complexion because it makes me feel pretty, and feeling pretty boosts my confidence. if this study is on key, then others perceive me differently (for the better) when i wear makeup.
